Faces of Feminism

Recently I have been trying to find a way to make a difference with my art and writing. In these uncertain and frightening times that we live in, it no longer feels like enough to just make pretty pictures for people. I am thinking about starting a new project, something that I rarely do. I would like to give oppressed people a voice by telling their story, a face by showing their images. To get started, I have decided to collect a series of strong women that I have photographed over the years for various reasons and post them here as the first stage of this project. These are just some of the women who have influenced me, affected me, and made me further appreciate the complexities and struggle of womanhood, as well as the common bond that we share.
